Just praying hoops again today…in waiting for the swish of the resurrection…or perhaps the slam dunk in basketball terms–seemed right, on Holy in between day, where i often find myself, and where we all live most of the time—that already, not yet space in hope based on what we already know, and what we faith to be true.

So just praying around today! Hooping for the best for each of us!
I love the in between in life (even prayer occurs there!), liminal spaces, just between death and resurrection; and Jesus seemed pretty busy in His interim!

The mystery of what He was up to in the grave, has always captivated me but is rarely preached, as there is that holy Saturday silence around it, a clearing of the altars for what is more obviously clear in the story; though, there are hints of what He was up to in the grave. I’m sure on many levels, He was preparing for His after party (the one which never ends, and has already begun)…so, thought I’d just pray around with and into it again today!

Hoping and hooping for a great Easter for all this year. We need a few stones rolled away this year! Glad the big one already was, so our smaller ones roll away more easily. Happy Easter to all my friends! May the power of the resurrection touch you personally, in the way it’s meant to this season!
